Two floors, roughly 150 square metres each, and the sense, walking through it the first time, that nobody built this to be photographed. It was built to be lived in, four sound-insulated bedrooms, a kitchen you’d actually cook in, and enough distance between rooms that eight guests can go a whole morning without crossing paths, if that’s what the morning calls for. A ninth guest can be accommodated on the living room sofa, though in practice it’s rarely needed, most groups settle into the four rooms and stay there.

The three upper bedrooms open onto balconies that catch the pool and the Ionian beyond it, each from a slightly different angle. Ask a returning guest which one they book and they’ll usually have an answer ready.
